So tell me what you want, what you really really want! I think you want me to show you my Spice Girls dolls collection!

Here they are: Ginger, Scary, Sporty, Posh and Baby. Pictured here are some of the dolls I have acquired mostly from garage sales or cheap on eBay. From the late 90's, the dolls are made by Galoob and featured the likenesses of Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chrisholm, Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton.

They aren't the prettiest dolls in the world, but they can be fun! Sometimes it's just nice to take a break from the realistic baby dolls or the pretty collector dolls and Barbies, and celebrate a little "girl power"!

Various sets of dolls were released, along with a sound stage playset. Geri Halliwell left the group in May 1998 but several sets still featured her since they were probably too far along in production to drop the Ginger Spice doll. It wasn't until June 1999 that Galoob started producing their four-doll collections starting with the "On Stage" series. A "Millenium Tour Collection" was planned but not produced.

I have a few dolls from the first of the series, called "Girl Power", including a mint-in-the-box Baby Spice in her pink dress and carrying a stuffed animal. I also have all of the second series "On Tour" dolls, which I kept finding at garage sales! The third series, "Superstar Collection", is a five-doll boxed set which I found very cheap on eBay because the girls are all missing their shoes and Sporty was missing her top (which I replaced with a Barbie top). The false fingernails in the box are also gone. But for the price, I couldn't pass it up!

Also shown here are Baby and Posh in their gold dresses from the "Spice it Up!" series, and some of the "Concert Collection" dolls. I love Geri's green fringe dress!

And don't forget: GIRL POWER!
