So I’ve been getting educated lately! I’ve been listening to National Public Radio (NPR) in the car, after tiring of the same moldy oldies over and over. And I’m actually learning stuff! I hear about all kinds of pressing issues like the budget crisis and medical breakthroughs, political candidates, human-interest stories about childbirth in foreign countries, etc. The stories just keep coming and coming! Their motto is, “WNIJ: Where you learn something new every day!” And boy have I! It’s been a real eye-opener!

But I was also thinking, this could cause some potential problems. Now, instead of just my usual rants about marijuana and alcohol, I’m forming opinions about all kinds of other things as well. It’s always been, “That’s terrible you smoke pot! A grown adult should be WELL PAST the age where they want to use a mind-altering DRUG to enjoy life!” blah blah blah. But now, with my expanded knowledge, I might be able to write all new blogs. “That’s terrible they want to raise the ceiling deficit! A grown adult should be WELL PAST the age where they want to raise the ceiling deficit! We are supposed to find NATURAL ways to solve our economic problems! What is WRONG with you people??” In other words, same rant, different topics.

Cindybin plus knowledge of world events. Hmmm. This could prove a deadly combination. I don’t think there’s too much cause for alarm, however. I’m probably more like Kelly Bundy, where my brain can only hold so much and then at the very moment I learn one more new thing, some other important fact will fly right out the window. Just like what happened when Kelly was on that game show and couldn’t recall her father’s famous high school football achievements. Oh well. But maybe sometime I’ll have a really informed opinion on some hot, pressing issue and write a long, entertaining blog about it. Depends on how much knowledge I’ve retained. Like what I just learned about the new Congressional map the other day. That was an interesting, fact-filled story! Now, what was the name of that radio station again? Uh oh, I’ve forgotten…

I was at the grocery store today, and after looking around at all the women there, I've decided I'm tired of being a frumpy ol' housewife. I need a whole new look. So I think I'm going to get a few tattoos on my back and shoulders, and start wearing skimpy tank-tops to show them off. What do ya think??

Alright kids, here's another classic scene from Married With Children! It's from when Peggy was pregnant with her third child (who never appeared) and Bud and Kelly were feeling a bit left out.

Bud and Kelly walk over to Peg and Bud gives her a list.

BUD) Hey, Mom, we made the list.

MARCY) Oh, that's a good idea, I'll make Jefferson make one for me. What kind of list is it?

PEGGY) Well, see, I'm going to be the best mother in the world to my new baby, so I asked the kids to make a list of everything they never had, so I'll know everything to do for my little [in a soppy voice] precious-wecious! Although I can't really imagine what they'd put on this list, they had everything they could possible want as babies. But let's see what they thought they didn't have. [reads the list] "Milk; immunity vaccinations; love." Oh, you scamps! "Redding blicks"?

KELLY) That's "reading blocks." I wrote that.

PEGGY) Well, I think that's a good idea. Bud, why don't you be in charge of helping the baby with those. Thanks, kids.

BUD) Mom, you're just kidding that this kid's going to get all the stuff we never had, I mean, you're still going to love us all the same, right?

PEGGY) Oh, well, of course I will! We were a family before the baby and we'll be a family after the baby. Now you're sucking up all the baby's air, go sit with your father.
