ZERO PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM POT: I need to switch my focus to real addictions that kill people

Mike says:

You seem a bit nuts, Cindy. The CDC says that over 600,000 Americans die every year as a direct result of booze & tobacco addiction ... while they also say that ZERO die from pot (as long as you don't drive high which is already illegal). Maybe you should switch your focus to real addictions that kill a lot of people.

Cindybin says:

Mike, are you SERIOUS?? Have you people not read a THING I have written over the years? I have said over and over that the main reason I have to keep speaking up against pot year after year is because of comments like yours, people telling me over and over that people die from alcohol and cigarettes. I KNOW THAT! How could I not know that?? Are you people really that dense? You honestly don't get it. You all think that I'm against pot because I think it's dangerous and addictive and kills people. NOBODY THINKS THAT. Doesn't it even OCCUR to you guys that we are against pot because it's a MIND-ALTERING DRUG?? I say the same things about alcohol! Alcohol is a drug! Just because it's legal doesn't make it right! AND YOU CAN'T COMPARE CIGARETTES TO POT AND BOOZE! Of course we shouldn't smoke cigarettes and of course they are deadly and dangerous--I have ranted about those for YEARS online! But we don't get high and stoned or tipsy or drunk from cigarettes! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT? Are you guys really this dense? Why do you guys ALWAYS accuse me of thinking that pot is dangerous and deadly? You all ALWAYS tell me about the dangers of alcohol and cigarettes, and if that makes it okay to light up a joint, smoke it and get high. OH I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. I have ranted against alcohol and pot and cigarettes for YEARS online, typing my fingers to the bone! And again, YOU CAN'T COMPARE CIGARETTES TO POT AND BOOZE, WE DON'T GET HIGH OR TIPSY ON CIGARETTES! I am against pot because it's a mind-altering drug! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT??
