Someone named "Bud" writes:

"If the biggest problem is that it's illegal, then why not work on legalizing it so that we don't keep sending kids to prison for something that is literally less harmful than caffeine?"

My reply:

You just don't get it! I have said over and over that we shouldn't smoke pot, legal or not! What a thing to do! And nobody would have to worry about going to jail for pot if they didn't smoke pot! How hard is it to not smoke pot? Where would one even FIND this stuff? It is ILLEGAL! I have never even seen marijuana!! Nobody has ever even offered it to me!  And work on legalizing it? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Have you SEEN the comments by pot smokers online? Have you SEEN the videos they make? You should read the emails they send me! It's enough to make anyone realize that pot should be illegal forever, with VERY STIFF PENALTIES! Not because of marijuana itself, but because of the people who use and defend it! Like you! Look at you! Instead of being a nice, decent, mature guy and taking a stand AGAINST DRUGS, you honestly think that I think that the biggest problem with pot is that it's illegal! And then you tell me to work on legalizing it, so kids won't be sent to prison!! And you honestly think that we are against pot because we think it's harmful! You think that by telling me that caffeine is more "harmful" than pot, that I'll suddenly realize it's okay to get high! Your comment proves my point about why we all need to speak up against pot and why it should be illegal forever!! I never even THOUGHT about pot before all this. But boy have you guys opened my eyes!!

Dear Anonymous, As I have said over and over for the past 15 years online, I am not against medical marijuana! I am a nice person and of course would not want anybody to suffer, and if something like marijuana--or ANYTHING--truly helps a person with a true medical condition, then of course that would be a good thing! I would use it myself if I had to, if it worked and were legal for that! I have even been trying for YEARS to write an article on the benefits of medical marijuana! But I have yet to find a single decent person to interview to use as an example in my article! All the casual users rave about the medical benefits in order to justify getting high, and even the "medical" users I've talked to and seen have been horrible cussing me out, threatening me with death and bodily harm, attacking my religion, my looks, m sex life, making mean videos and websites about me, making fun of me for collecting dolls, using lame excuses about how "weed" is safer than alcohol and cigarettes (as if THAT has anything to do with medical marijuana), telling me to educate myself, telling me I'm holier-than-thou, etc. Even the "nice" ones don't get it and honestly can't see why it's wrong and just plain immature to use drugs recreationally. How can I support them when they are like that?? They aren't TRUE medical users. I have yet to find a TRUE medical user. All I've done is collect THOUSANDS of comments and emails from "medical" users, supporters and growers who are just horrible, and who just don't get it. Now all I want to do is write articles and make videos using these comments, to show what people are like! Doctors, lawmakers and the entire public needs to know!

Also +cindybin2001:

A new national survey released today by the Pew Research Center reveals that a broad majority of Americans are ready to significantly reduce the role of the criminal justice system in dealing with people who use drugs.

Among the key findings of the report:

More than six in ten Americans (63%) say that state governments moving away from mandatory prison terms for drug law violations is a good thing, while just 32% say these policy changes are a bad thing. This is a substantial shift from 2001 when the public was evenly divided (47% good thing vs. 45% bad thing).  The majority of all demographic groups, including Republicans and Americans over 65 years old, support this shift. At the same time, there has been a major shift in attitudes on whether the use of marijuana should be legal. As recently as four years ago, about half (52%) said they thought the use of marijuana should not be legal; 41% said marijuana use should be legal. Today those numbers are roughly reversed – 54% favor marijuana legalization while 42% are opposed.  Just 16% say it should not be legal for either medical or recreational use.Two-thirds (67%) say the government should focus more on providing treatment for people who use drugs like cocaine and heroin. Just 26% think the focus should be more on prosecuting people who use such drugs.

But unlike you I back my shit up. You are in the minority so please stop saying that you don't say anything any other parent wouldn't say.
